Online Music Instruction that adds new dimensions to learning
I teach lessons primarily online these days. I find it works very well for me, and it works well for the students who can see the value in this medium.
When you take a lesson online, you are able to control the parameters of your practice space. You can learn in the same place you practice. Additionally, online lessons gives the instructor (me) the ability to share practice materials, recordings, and repertoire on screen during the lesson, and send everything you need to you immediately, so you’re super clear about what you need to work on. You as the student also have the ability to record your lessons directly to your device, so you can always go back to it if you forget something. Finally, it keeps the ability to have lessons way more consistent if you live somewhere that has consistent inclement weather during the winter months, like I do (and what a great way to spend part of a snow day…)
I recognize that for some, in person instruction is preferred (especially for very young children or students with more specific needs). But for many, online music lessons can be just as good, if not better. If that’s you, take a look at what I’ve got to offer and sign up for a lesson with me.

You can sign up for lessons by paying for a lesson above, filling out the required information form, and then I will reach out to you to schedule our lesson based on the availability you give me. At a minimum, you need a device that can connect to the internet and has a microphone and camera.
A computer with a webcam, microphone, and headphones, set up in a quiet space with minimal distractions, is preferred.

Lessons with me follow a proven method-based approach, with enough wiggle room for learning songs you truly enjoy. Expect direct, practical knowledge and exercises, strategies for reading music and learning your favorite songs, and nuggets of tangential wisdom.

You can pay for individual lessons, or subscribe to have lessons in intervals of every 1, 2, or 4 weeks for a 5-10% discount.
